Hi, I have only ever used Fragmin, in pregnancy and never tried Warfarin, so can't personally comment on that. You and your consultant just need to work out the best solution for you, as everybody is different. MaryF
I had bad side effects with warfarin and no side effects with fragmin. I had trouble controlling my inr and had to get a blood test once a week with warfarin. Hard to do if you want to travel or to have a life. No blood tests with fragmin so it is not as disruptive to your life. You do have to learn to stick yourself with needles on fragmin. Not fun but you get used to it. Both reduce my symptoms, neither works better than the other. Overall I prefer fragmin. Everyone is different and you will only know what works best for you when you have tried both.
LMWH has been much more effective for me than warfarin at any INR.
Fragmin is my preferred choice but too expensive so I have moved to Warfarin which I "tick along" with.
Very interesting. I have only used warfarin. If I had not been able to selftest I would never been able to handle my INR. I have also Lupus Anticoagulant.

My only experience with fragmin was when I was bridging to and from warfarin for surgery. I noticed no difference.
Warfarin for me- but I don't think any of the above is relevant, other than it tells you that what suits any particular individual is down to the individual.
