Does anyone have a Doctor recommendation in the Pittsburgh, PA area? I have family in Baltimore. Travel there would also possible.

Hi, I am sure you will get some responses from members in the USA at some point, in the mean time here are names you could contact on here, who may offer you advice for something nearer! apsaction.org/

This hospital has a Rheumatology Department that specializes in Autoimmune Disorders. I suggest

calling them.....Rheumatologist (a must not an MD who only deals with blood disorders..ie Hematologist.)..

Vasculitis due to Autoimmune Disorder....or "clotting" problems caused by Autoimmune Disorder...

I found this MD/ APS listed under Vasculitis as a specialty....my RHeumatologist uses "Vasculitis" as a DIagnosis

on paperwork.....I guess it is a general term

Michael Streiff, MD is a hematologist at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore (mstreif@jhmi.edu).

What kind of dr are you looking for? I've heard Dr. Alan M. Berg (rheumatologist) is excellent from several people. I'm currently scheduled to see Dr. Susan Manzi (rheumy) in August but I've had the appt since January - the practice is now scheduled thru October! Dr. Irina Chibisov is an excellent hematologist. Available, easy to schedule and she's flexible in dealing with my other doctors. Will spend as much time as you want at an appt and is familiar with aps. Good luck!
