Pain in elbows so bad it makes you cry, accompanied by fatigue, sometimes feels like there is a jelly like substance and when that is present any presure on elbow feels like electric shock, then when napping or in bed pins needles from elbow down, then hands numb and deformed

We can't diagnose as we are not medically trained. Can you ask your Dr or rheumatologist?

Carpel tunnel is very painful and can feel like that but could be other things too so best to get a medical opinion.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi donnabrain,

Just was diagnosed with carpal tunnel, had those symptoms exactly. Just began wearing a wrist brace two nights ago and it does help. Better go get it checked out! Good Luck.

Hi donnabrain,

I have APS and they wanted to operate me for Carpaltunnel-syndrom. I did not do that. (Thank god!) They gave me a "support" on my lowerarm. I used that for some year. Got better and when I started Warfarin it went away! Are you on warfarin by the way?

If I were you I would see your APS-doctor first and then hear what is suitable. My pains were more on my wrists and not so much on the elbows. Pins and needles on the hands and fingers yes but not yet deformed. As I have APS it can have been APS also but carpaltunnelsyndrome is common and goes with APS.

Hope you get rid of your pain. It must be terrible.

Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm

Oh, I am sorry about that. Two things seems to be utmost important for us: 1)Get a diagnose. 2) Get an APS-doctor.

I understand how difficult it is now and with that pain also. I wish I could help you. Is there ANY possibility to try for a doctor that "gets" what you are talking about? It seems that we all have to fight and fight hard to get listened to.

I can only wish you good luck!. Kerstin
