sometimes my upper eyelids swell so much that they bury my lower lid and half my eyes, this is not painfull or anything, just makes me look weird, its just that I have noticed that it happens when I am feeling particularly rough with generalised pain and fatigue and wondered if it is some sort of "sign" that something else is going on,been meaning to ask gp but sure they are starting to think i,m just losing the plot and didnt want to mention such a vague and also trivial symptom unless it may be important

Its worst - but like you, I feel I have too many other problems to deal with this. Don't know about you, but I've been thinking over the last few days that when I'm having trouble else where- you know, having to really focus in work when your fogy headed and your trying to ignor some pain, i might open my eyes too wide and stop blinking. It might make eyes a bit more sensitive to the environment. g

I also experience this and my eyelids can also look bruised . It happens before and during a relapse. This sign enables my family to recognise when a relapse is about to happen. I have mentioned it at my appointments with Dr Khamashta and I will talk to him about it again at my next appointment
