Just showing off!

Hi All

At the weekend I won my first dressage competition in 3 years!!! I am so excited... ridiculous really considering it was just a local thing but just wanted to remind people that you can do whatever you want... it may not feel like it now but keep believing in yourself!

Take care

Tx

Hi Tasch

What an uplifting message for all of us! Well done. What's wrong with showing off and blowing your own trumpet? Absolutely nothing!

"keep believing in yourself!" - you said it. Best, John.

Well done Tasch, beautiful horse! Hope to get going with my horses too in a couple of weeks time when work slows down - although I don't think we'll be competing this year. Thanks for inspiring!

Very well done Tasch,

I know how difficult dressage is as a discipline.

Please keep your riding going.

I miss having my horses SO Much. My illness has put paid to riding etc.

This is the worse thing that could have happened. I have BHS stage 3 and Stable Managers Certificate. It's like a bereavment.

Keep going and please share your success with us.

Very best wishes x

p.s. what is your horse called?

Well done Tasch!

Awwwww shucks you guys! Thanks so much for all these lovely comments! So pleased that you like the positive stories - I worry that maybe I am rubbing it in!

So, the horse isn't mine sadly... I had to retire mine but this chap is a cob called Aramis... he's a dude!

Thanks all

Take care

Hi Tasch,

Lovely couple! Aramis I think was one of the musketeurs. Good news!

What a beautiful horse and accomplishment! I'm currently barely mobile and feeling pretty down about it, so it's nice to hear that this may be a temporary setback.

I'm pretty new here, so I don't know your story, but I was wondering how you got to this point? I'd really love to learn from you.

Hi

What a lovely message - thanks. I have written a few blogs on this website in my time including my life story - broken down into 4 parts!! so make a cup of tea and get comfortable!!!

I have APS, Lupus SLE and a kidney transplant. I was diagnosed when I was 19 years old and I am now 32 (scary!). My transplant is now 9 years old and called Kevin...

When I was first diagnosed the advice was to rest and take it easy - i told the doctors that that wasn't acceptable and within months of my diagnosis I went to California for 4 months to do horsemanship in a Summer Camp. I am firmly in the camp of "One life, live it" and have pushed my body hard (a few times too hard, maybe). In the last couple of years I have been taking it easy (for me) but I am back on form (mentally) again and ready to take on the world.

Have a read of my story and if there is anything you want to ask just shout!

Take care

Sorry for the multiple posts :P Apparently my computer was having a bit of a moment but I think it's fixed now.

My mom has kidney disease and she has been on dialysis for over a decade. I can't imagine having to deal with that at such a young age (I'm only a year older than you).

Maybe I can read your posts on the days when I want to let this wretched disease win. What is your treatment protocol if you don't mind me asking? Do you have daily pain?
