Hi, My warfarin levels are between 3-4 and is currently at 4.2. What are the chances of contracting another DVT? My Thigh/Groin is painful and my leg feels dead, it does not matter what I do it does not ease. It is warm but not significantly swollen
Thanks

I had a clot in my hip when I was on Warfarin, with an INR of around 4.0. I didn't know what it was but I was in a lot of pain and could hardly walk. It was only when I went to one of Prof Hughes colleagues and he told my GP to get me an MRI, instead of an xray, that the damage was discovered.
I think that you should go to A&E, urgently, and get checked out; stressing that you have Hughes Syndrome.
If you've read Manofmendip and APsnotFab you should now be in A&E. If not, go immediately. The risk of damage far outweighs a false alarm and nobody will admonish you for playing it safe. Speed is essential. When my leg felt like I was dragging round a lead pipe, which sounds similar to your description, within less than an hour it was ambulance, quick assessment and clot-busting drugs (in my case, 300mg clopidogrel in one dose) within minutes of arrival.
Hi all, Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I went to A&E D-Dimer was 10 supposedly ok, so no DVT. I was told to take pain killers and no other explanation. I am already taking 80mg Oxycontin.
