Hi guys. Yeah another quest related to meds. I have missed my truvada and isentress by 12 hours and now i am panicking. Fears of resistance. Although i am undetectable from last 10 years. Anyone had similar experiences to discuss how much risk i am in now

Ah don’t worry about missing your meds on a one time basis I have been traveling overseas with flight changes and Time world clock changes have been late a few times as long as you make them up to your usual time

You will be fine don’t stress the worse think 🤔 you can do take life easy

You have done amazing keeping up with them for ten years

Cheers

No need to worry !

The advice I have read is that any missed dose should be taken as soon as possible up to 12 hours late , after that wait untill the next dose is due . As 12 hours is borderline it is up to you if you take the dose or not . I think recommended guide lines are that one missed dose a month still produces sufficient cover . Long term undetectable viral levels like yourself are not going to spring into activity in a matter of hours , I would have thought .

The previous replies are spot on! Adherence is important, but a 90% adherence rate over the month is the minimum required. This allows for a margin of error of around just under 1 missed dose a week on average. It's a good question to ask, as this fear is very common, it's something I had at one point on missing a single dose.

yeah occasional missed doses will be fine. Just don't make a habit of it :)
