Hi there,

Welcome to the community and, I hope you will find someone soon.

You have not mentioned anything about your circumstances regarding your status such as where you are, how long you have known you are positive and if you are on treatment, your gender or sexuality .

I am going to assume that you have only recently found out your status and that you are a heterosexual woman, forgive me if I am wrong.

HIV has in many ways been the making of me. I truly believe I am a better man living with HIV than I ever was before I picked up the infection. I have met some wonderful people who have been living full and happy lives with HIV.

Things have advanced a huge amount in the last 25 or so years. Treatment is very affective and now come with no or very few side effects so are easy to take. If you are diagnosed before the virus has done too much damage and you take your medication properly you should live a long full healthy life.

I am sure other members of this community will post their own supportive messages and, who knows you may even get a date, or dating advice.

Kind Regards,

Paul

PS. I have been living with HIV for over 15 years and I get lots of dates ;-)
