This is an exciting opportunity for you to share your thoughts and opinions on the description of a new type of ICD, which has recently been launched. Although many of you will never need a device like this, your feedback would be really valuable.

ICDs are implantable heart devices, similar to pacemakers, for patients with serious arrhythmias and at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. An ICD is like having your own defibrillator inside your body so if your heart should go into a specific arrhythmia the ICD will shock it back into rhythm; whereas a pacemaker monitors and adjusts the rhythm and speed of your heart; if it is too fast or too slow it will adjust accordingly.

This survey is sponsored by the manufacturer of the device, and for everyone who completes the survey the company will be donating £25 to support the work that Arrhythmia Alliance does to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias.

Your input will help ensure future patients receive accurate and understandable description of this new type of ICD whilst at the same time helping to raise much needed funds for Arrhythmia Alliance.

The survey is not designed to be promotional, its only aim is to get your feedback, and all information you provide will remain anonymous. It will take about 10 minutes to complete - thank you in advance for your time and patience.

The survey will be closing on 30 June 2024. Complete it here: surveymonkey.com/r/BPVSLX8

survey completed, and as my ICD is now 10 yrs in-situ, will hopefully get one of the medtronic devices as a replacement soon.

We have had such an incredible response to the EC-ICD Survey and have collected a huge amount of data. As a result of this, the survey is now CLOSED.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, providing invaluable feedback and supporting the charity.
