TENS machine

Good afternoon,

I was diagnosed with Intermittent AF in January last year. I had my first episode in January 2021 and was Cardioverted. This only lasted 3 weeks and then I had an episode lasting approx 4 weeks which reverted spontaneously. I have had none since.

I am currently suffering from right knee pain and as I am unable to take anti-inflammatory drugs I am struggling with pain. I have had Codeine and then Tramadol - both with little effect.

I have seen a Tens machine in Boots which is specifically for the knee. I wondered if this was OK to use in someone with AF or whether it would cause a problem.

Thank you

Ruth

I attend a hospital for treatment of refractory angina, I also have AF and have had 3 cardioversions. The hospital I attend issued me with a tens machine for the angina, so speaking for myself a tens machine is ok for me with me having AF.
