Heart problem

I have had a hole in heart operation after 5 years I have started to have problems at night when sleeping on left hand side and on my back by left shoulder blade as if stoping the flow of blood to my heart and it affects my balance

I have an arrhythmia and can't sleep on my left side at all. I can sometimes sleep on my back, but usually have to sleep on my right. On my left I feel everything my heart is doing and it feels as though it's struggling.

Someone else was recently told by a doctor that this is because your heart is close to your left side, so you feel everything.

Every thing you said in your reply is the problems I am suffering and also my doctor said the same about the heart close to the left, I've found drinking a glass water or two before going to bed helps for a time then after a while it comes back

I have SVT and post ablation, I can't sleep on my left side at all. It was fine before! If I lie on my left side I can feel every beat my heart makes, and it seems to be very jumpy. I told my cardiologist last time I saw him and he was almost laughing at me. He said it was just an anxiety thing in my head as now I'm aware of my heart and it's little problem. I'm not so sure though?

That is exactly what my doctor it is all in the mind, I have had it for eight years now. I was sent to a cardiologist had all the test but could not find anything, but I was OK for a week or so before I told him I thought it had gone but no it come back.
