Hematoma/infected blood clot behind stitches after Vaginal hysterectomy

Hi all

Uterus and cervix removed on 13th April just short of two weeks. Started bright red blood bleeding with small clots on the Wednesday night. Attended hospital on Monday bloods and smear taken plus ultrasound. Turns out to be blood clot behind stitches so because it has knowhere to go or leaks very slowly the old blood gets infected. I've been given antibiotics co-amoxiclav. The blood now draining very blackish and sticky looking with nasty odour.

Does any one know how long these things take to clear up.
