Schwannamatosis and Lyrica

Have just been prescribed Lyrica for a growth on my spine, I am still awaiting whether I have Neurofibromatosis type 2 or schwannamatosis but now have very bad reactions to my scoliosis, joint pain etc, from this medication. Hoping to get off Lyrica essentially used for a pain killer for nerve pain, but the pain of my scoliosis is more extreme, but will the Lyrica outweigh my long term supposed benefits with Neurofibromatosis type 2 or schwannamatosis ?
