After reading a study from norway my gp agreed to put me on zimvastatin. I'm braca2 breast cancer survivor.
I've been on them 3 yrs and they have lowered my cholesterol as well... I assume they are safe as new evideo centre has said they help re occurrence. I'm now wondering about taking bisphosphonate? ??

Have you had a Dexascan to see if you have a bone density problem? Personally I would not take one unless I was certain there was a need. Look up the side effects on them, for example Alendronic Acid is the one normally prescribed.
I shall watch it.. things get so complicated re diet.. was shown info on its ok to eat diary and meat fat but nothing processed... yet fat is supposed to make cholesterol worse.... im totally confused by it all now to be honest . Just don't want the breast cancer to come back !!
