About 20g of quality 70%+ dark chocolate. Are you asking the question because of other health issues? Chocolate consumption may depend on that so the answer might be no chocolate.

As someone else said, it may depend on if you have any other health issues at play. Dark chocolate is the best chocolate for you, as has been said 70% or more strength is about what you're looking for. Cocoa nibs are supposed to be good for you too.

I'm a massive chocaholic and can eat a lot of chocolate in one go, so I buy really dark chocolate (85% or more) because it tastes bad if you eat too much at once so I have to eat slow and I fill up faster, or I buy chocolate in packs of individually wrapped bars so it feels like there's more closure in a weird way. It's too easy with a big bar of chocolate to just carry on when there's some left.

If you have no restrictions it's okay to treat yourself every once in a while, but if you know you're prone to eating a lot then finding a way to have it in small doses is good. I try to limit myself to one chocolate thing a day. It doesn't always work...

I was told it needs to be at least 70% cacao and then only 1 oz per day if that. I bought a product that makes a cacao granola. I got it at Costco

Experts say the recommended “dose” is approximately 30-60g.

I would say none, if it has sugar in it. It is candy. You "should" never eat candy. If you want to know about unsweetened cocoa, or unsweetened chocolate, that's different, and good for you. You can add that to various things, like coffee, or have it in various products, I assume like Elsie1955's keto nuggets above.

But if you want a bit of candy bar, it's not a "should", it's a treat. (Not to say you can't have it ever, but call it what it is! :o)

Not what you're looking for?
