I am really trying to follow a plant based diet and as I have been a vegetarian since 1985, it hasn't proved too much of a problem. What I am finding SO difficult, though, is giving up milk chocolate. Does anyone have any tips to help me achieve this? Thank you!

Really struggling not to eat chocolate
i dont know if you take sugar in your tea. i am on and off the sugar and forever trying to give it up and sweets and chocolate i have found that when i dont take sugar in my tea or coffe then i dont get the cravings for sweets or chocolate. its just that i dont enjoy no sugar in my tea as it tastes bitter to me so i give up and i hate the headaches but im going to keep trying as sugar is really bad for me. wishing you well all you can do is keep trying to give up and notice the times when you give in and take note of them its all grist for the mill. love grace xoxoxo
Have you come across a product called Carob, it's billed as the healthy alternative to chocolate, I don't eat chocolate as I'm intolerant to chocolate and cows milk, there's no added sugar in it and it may contain a trace of milk due to manufacturing machinery used so it's essentially sugar and dairy free
There are *loads* of vegan 'milk' chocolate products these days (and plenty of organisations to point you in the right direction such as the Vegan Society). Sometimes not cheap, certainly but perhaps that helps keeps chocolate in its proper place in our diets.
They are very addictive indeed. Replace them with "plain dark chocolates" to begin with. Then reduce the amount gradually. Stop buying them eventually. After a while you should be ok. Try that for 8 weeks and see how it goes.
