My gut can't handle high fibre foods

My gut is so inflamed that it seems like i cannot handle high fibre foods and this explains why whenever i switch to a healthy food plan i have intense flare ups of my symptoms. A question i have though is why does my body start holding onto more fat and look flabbier when i eat a high fiber diet even if my calories are less than before. I know it's because my gut can't handle it.. etc but does anyone know exactly what could be happening in my body that leads to that? I've gotten my bloods done and a celiac disease test and i am still waiting on results but after my results come back i will be cutting out gluten and dairy and sticking to a low fibre diet that includes mostly gluten-free pasta, etc until my gut can heal.

If it's quick and noticeable that you've gained weight it's not likely to be fat, it's more likely to be water weight.

Maybe track your diet with the Cronometer app for a few days? I find it really helpful as it lets you know the fibre breakdown of your foods. Maybe add a typical day from before your diet change too, so you can compare too :)

Gut inflammation can be caused by eating a lot of processed food like chocolate, ice cream and sauces which contain emulsifiers. Emulsifiers are a sort of 'edible' detergent which stop the oils separating from the water and can strim the mucous from the gut lining and cause irritants to get into direct contact with the gut lining. Another thing which can cause gut inflammation is a large amount of carbohydrate in the diet (hence the beer belly) or a lot of white bread because it's a combination of carbohydrate ang gluten which cause the villi on your gut lining to allow easier entry for the food particles. A third thing which causes gut inflammation is refined seed oils.
