How Can This Be ?

Hello my friends. I have been on this "super healthy diet" for 2 years now. Completely changed ALL my eating habits to everything I was told to do. No Cheating at all.

I go to have a full blood work checkup. I knew ALL my numbers just had to be great.

But I was shocked !* It's like a bad dream. This is my results for "totally eating healthy & becoming a health nut"....

A1C..... HIGH > 5.7

LDL...... HIGH > 113

HDL..... LOW > 35

TRIGLYCERIDES..... HIGH > 198

What ?* They ALL Where Better 2 Years Ago !* This Is STUNNING To Me.

How Can This Be ?*

Hi TriggerPoint ,

What did your doctor say about your A1c results? What did they suggest for meals/snacks? 😀👍

Hey,

Sorry to read that all of the dedication you put into healthy eating hasn't shown up on your latest results. Im hopefully assuming that with the healthy eating you were also exercising. If that's the case, the body is such a complex system and sometimes despite doing everything the desired outcome may not work to our favour especially when there is a condition(s) involved. Your healthy eating may not have improved your levels but it wasnt for naught because you were feeding your body well. Maybe you can ask your doctor to recommend a registered dietitian if you haven't already taken that route. Hope your levels improve.

Because the diet ThePowersThatBe tell us to eat is not a healthy diet. I did what they said - low salt, low fat, minimal saturated fat, filled my plate with beige carbs, eat 3 meals + snacks each day; and I got fat and sick. I ended up being told by an NHS consultant that I needed to cut back on fat and exercise more. I told her I tried to eat low fat, and at the minimum walked for an hour each day, and she pretty well called me a liar. She wrote a letter to my GP saying I was taking her advice "under consideration". But I wasn't, because I was already following it. When I asked her what else I could do, she said "carbohydrates count too" 🙄

You won't be surprised to learn she was morbidly obese.

I haven't had my bloods redone, but with 20cm gone from my waist, I know I am far healthier than I was.

What were you doing for the last 2 years?

Not until we find out what TriggerPoint is eating. If it's high carb/low fat, no further explanation is required.
