Family of wild boars as neighbours. 🐗

Hi everyone,

I have a family of wild boars living near to me and this morning because of the wind they didn’t hear me so I managed to get a photo with lots of the little ones in.

The little ones are seriously cute and squeal with playfully but they soon grow to be 200/250 Kg.

There’s 3 sisters with about 9 babes and the male boar, they like using the same footpath as me that is very close to my home so we often all meet they just move away from the path. I can recognise the 3 mums all quite easily now because of their facial markings and I like how they just look at me as I walk by.

I love getting plenty of exercise as coupled with a healthy balanced diet it’s the way to a healthy lifestyle.

Hi Leah, they are cute, the locals call the babies ‘humbugs’ here’s another photo with one of the mums walking towards me. 😊🐗

Baby boars have silver stripes going longways, silver on grey gives them a humbug appearance.

Hi Zest they are interesting neighbours as this is quite unusual for them to be so close to us. They are intelligent and have realised that I’m harmless to them 😊🐗

Hey Hidden the mums are very protective of the little ones for that reason. You can buy boar sausages in the local butchers as there are boar farms. 😊🐗

Thank you for sharing the update picture on these babies “humbugs” Jerry.😁 I see them in lighter shade comparing to the grown ones and they are so adorable. 🤗 Great reminder to incorporate healthy diet into daily walks/exercises.
