PEPPERS COURGETTE CHERRY TOMATO RAGU WITH CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

This is one of the favourite slow cooker one pots I do a lot very simple easy and not many ingredients again .

Need one Slow Cooker.

Chicken Drumsticks I use frozen defrosted.

Passata or any of your favourite pasta sauce.

One Onion diced up One Pepper Red One Yellow Pepper diced.

One Courgette sliced and cored.

Tin Cherry Tomatoes.

Paprika one teaspoon .

Italian herbs used mix of Oregano, Basil, Thyme mixes or use what you have, Parsley fine, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, be fine..

Stock cube crumbled in, tomato puree one teaspoon, touch if sugar or tomato ketchup touch.

Note needs some sweetness as tomatoes can be acidic .

Make this add in beans anything like Chickpeas or Cannellini beans add Pancetta cubes so wish fry off first.

Add chilli flakes or spice this up.

Use Moroccan style spices nit hot aromatic three used a lot.

Turmeric, Cumin, Coriander ground ..

Method

Season Chicken bag freezer one add drum season either chicken seasoning or Paprika or Salt or Pepper.

Could use stockcubes add crumble crush against drums add touch olive oil or lemon juice..

Your choice.

To slow cooker drumsticks with veggies make these chunky fine going to cook a while.

Every thing else herbs, puree tomato ketchup and passata crumble stock cube add touch hot water dissolves stock cube..

Switch on add lid and four hours low.

Serve..

Sounds good, but I'd have to leave out the peppers and up the spices. For some reason I can't eat chillies and peppers, but I can manage the dried spices, like Paprika.

Hello do not have to follow my recipes do it your way use the bases the main sauce and add your own veggies.

How recipes are created for example have bought cook books but never followed recipe to the T added my own twist turn and adaptions..

So based on that use the sauce but add can advise swap Sweet Potato and Butternut squash both available on line frozen ready to use or buy the soup packs available.

Add in Carrots or Courgettes up to you..

See then add could Ginger ground Ground Coriander Cumin and Paprika would be ones to use.

Happy to suggest anything alternative..

Hello pleased to meet you.

Pleased to help if I can first some tips and tricks for a beginner.

Be taking it slowly start off simple make it easy like these mentioned..

Also write a plan write down what you need and require first because mistakes can happen, cooking is enjoyable but also the most places where accidents find can occur..

Bullet recipes write these out never forget again if doing recipe keep these for reference.

I would also give some equipment to buy daily uses helps..

Need in my opinion the following essential..

Blender buy on line costs vary best that you can afford..

Food processor with grater attachments dicing veggies or for another piece of equipment making sauces..

Making cakes and biscuits useful..

Add need three pans one large stockpot for one pots.

Medium small ones for veggies sauces..

Slow cooker choose one to suit your family or your status..

No point buying large one for a single person if you are..

Look on line best website this one..

Add to cooking equipment utensils tongs spoons etc plus tin opener. Baking trays roasting trays..

Jugs and those for measurring spices herbs add measuring spoons.

One point jar sauces fine but it is so easy to make your own..

Once you do you need to know it yours make it be proud very easy most sauces.

I am self taught been doing this since late teens but along the way advise support Italian community my other friends.

I can help if you wish to know anything have plenty of sauces on here or available any questions.

One thing you get compelled drawn in and become proud obsessed slightly ..

Please give a simple Ragu sauce the basis of all sauces.

Need one jar of Passata or tin of tomatoes or plum tomatoes blitz up.

Add Onion powder, garlic powder.. half teaspoon each.

Dried Oregano Parsley Basil half teaspoon each strong herbs dried..

Tomato Purre half teaspoon and sugar a touch or tomato ketchup..

Just a touch, season black pepper and some salt a little.

Blitz up .

Instant Pasta Ragu sauce.

All the same in the jar sauces you are buying the same ingredients ..

Saves a fortune bag these up, zip bags freezer sauce bag.

Add the pan anything else cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, your choice..

Defrosted sauce add drained pasta ..

Or add to slow cooker add any meat any other veggies..

Please one final tip herb spices buy mixes first. Ideal for the beginner..
