Black flies eating new grown veg

Anyone had this problem few of my nebours are having there home grown veg eaten it seemed to happen after the bad weather the hailstones

If it is broad beans, this is the time for blackfly. Tell your neighbour to take the tops off the bean plants. The blackfly love the tender new tops, but they won't harm the beans.

Thanks but my budhlua tree leaves and a berry tree covered too it was her Kali kale

Dunno then, I don't grow kale. Possibly the only other remedy would be gauze netting, to keep the flies off, but she will have to get rid of the infestation first.
