We're all being told to make changes but it's so difficult as the supermarkets control the prices they pay for the crops farmers grow as well as the shape and size off veg they buy, so it's very refreshing that things are changing and internationally as more and more independent farmers are adopting Regenerative farming which's farming in tune with Mother Nature and it can reverse climate change and put organic matter back into depleted soil.
I heard an interview with a farmer in the chilterns and he said how the soil has lots of flint in it and he used to wear out a set of tractor tyres and ruin his plough every year because the flint shredded the tyres and blunted the plow with the result that the shredded rubber was in the soil. So for the last 20 years he has drilled his crops in and he pulled some veg out and the organic matter clinging to the roots showed just how well this method works.
We the consumer need to support these independent farmers and this method is growing fast in the UK.
Interesting to read about regenerative farming, and thanks for sharing this.

Hi Jerry
Thank you so much for sharing, I'm going to read the article later and I can't wait to read it.

Hi Hidden
I've just read the article, this is very exciting I would say, we can do it, we can reverse the damage and improve our soil. The next thing that needs to be done is ban pesticides and bring back all organic farming as it used to be, it can be done as the farmer on the programme entitled Cowspiracy proved it. That farmer used wood chippings for fertiliser and natural insects to control slugs etc and he was making a healthy profit.
Thank you very much for sharing, it's so interesting.

Thank you Alicia, I'm interested in this and excited by it. Because at the moment it's all cost cost cost and the irony is that ethos costs too much, so if only they could keep it simple and basic...๐
