Starting the day off with porridge and berries helps to keep me feeling full until lunch. What helps you to do that?

Good morning Wordsworth2 your porridge looks delicious, so a great start to the day, raspberries are my favourite fruit.

My favourite breakfast is a poached egg with mushrooms and tomatoes on home baked GF bread toasted best.

Jerry 😊

I made an effort last night and did overnight oats to have this morning. So glad as I was up late and would have just grabbed my go to - crumpets with way too much butter.

Hi Palmo,

I love crumpets but well done for soaking the oats ready to go! Being prepared always helps,I think!

Hi Zest,

To be fair, it tasted as good as it looked. I also hope you have a great week. It's only Monday, but it's going well so far.

I like porridge :)

I generally tend to make a breakfast bake, such as sweet potato & banana, sweet potato and apple, that sort of thing. I've not had much time to bake recently, so I've been eating yogurt & berries or porridge.

Hi Cooper27,

I hadn't thought of a breakfast bake before. Could you explain how you combine them and cook them - in a pan, mixed first, grilled placed together? It would be a great addition to my growing breakfast list! Thanks again!

This is one of my favourites:

createdelicious.com/sweet-p...

I leave out the arrowroot starch and baking soda.

It makes 8, so I eat 5 during the week and freeze the other 3 for another time.

I also just grate sweet potato and apple and mix through cinnamon, flour & eggs to bind it all before baking for about half an hour. I use my food processor to grate, I don't think I'd do it by hand, as it's just too much grating.

I like porridge but also weetabix with chopped dates and banana

Hi Jellyp,

Unfortunately, on this occasion, I cannot share your fondness for weetabix. I agree it is a very healthy breakfast and, for some, it is delicious, but for me...no. it's one of two foods I hate, that and celery. For those that do like weetabix though, sounds nice.

I love my porridge, and have eggs most days too, that combo seems to keep me going :)

Hi sunny369,

How do you have your eggs?

sunny369 profile image
sunny369 in reply to Wordsworth2

most days I have a cheese omelette, mushrooms optional :) Sometimes scrambled, boiled or fried. Tomorrow I have to go to the vet at the absolute crack of dawn and I won't be home again before work. I will take a couple of hard boiled eggs with me to eat later, before I go to work, it will keep me going :)
