So i need your advice , i have been have coconut yogurt, walnuts, camu camu powder and chia seeds for breakfast and enjoy it and have it mon-fri. But i need advice on what i have on saturday and sunday. I enjoy it im just worried if its not filling enough. I have two eggs , roasted tomatos, mushrooms with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil? Do you think this is enough? I have a hot chocolate afterwards ( homade with coconut milk and made with 70% hotel chocolat cocoa).

Hi BMDmom

I think that portion sizes and satiety are variable, and it depends on your entire day's intake and also your activity levels etc, infact many things would be relevant I think.

I am wondering if you feel satisfied after the breakfast you mention on Saturdays and Sundays, because if you do, then I would imagine it's sufficient - but the fact you're asking the question makes me wonder whether you're feeling as if it isn't actually enough?

I'm not sure how to approach attempting answering your query, but maybe consider whether you feel it is sufficient for your needs, and current activity levels etc. Also, whether you enjoy that breakfast? It sounds tasty. I would probably include a slice of wholemeal toast with it, if I was having it, but that's just my preference, and I always feel greater satiety that way - but that's my personal preference.

Thanks zest, i get hungry quicker thats why im asking , my yogurt breakfast lasts till lunch time so four hours till i get hungry were the egg one i get hungry two hours later. I thought ot was enough but its just getting hungry quicker. I wonder if theres not enough fat as the yogurt one has more fat ( good fat) which helps me stay fuller for longer.

Just try a bit of experimenting and see what works best. I'm very much like Fran182716 in that it's a combination of fat, protein and fibre that helps me to feel satiated. Experiment to see what works best for you, and you'll have the key to feeling satisfied about your day's food intake. Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

Thanks zest , i have tried something new and it kept me full till lunch, i had a avocado mayo egg wholemeal sandwhich.

Its 2 slices of wholemeal bread, avocado mayo ( i buy from my local health food shop) , kale, 2 hard boiled eggs sliced , cucumber. I was full till lunch and enjoyed it. I dont normally eat bread but i thought im running out of ideas for breakfast. Im glad i have it sorted now

Wow, your sandwich sounds absolutely delicious! I am so glad you've found something that you enjoy and which sustains you through till your lunch - that's excellent. Your sandwich sounds really yummy.

I agree with Zest . What satiates people most is quite variable. For some it’s protein, some it’s fat some it’s carbs. For me it’s a combination of fat, protein and fibre and for me your weekend breakfast would need some more fibrous food, I would probably swap one of the eggs for a slice of Wholemeal Seeded toast, but that’s me, it depends on how filling you find it yourself. If you feel satisfied when you have eaten it and you don’t start to feel hungry again for 3-4 hours after eating it then it’s filling for you.
