Most mornings i love to walk a little in the garden at first light. This helps to make a good start of the day
I planted Gardenias a few years ago and they give me so much pleasure with their beauty and their scent.

Hi Hidden
Walking in your garden at first light sounds really nice, and your Gardenia is gorgeous.
Zest
Thank you Zest, I do enjoy my plants very much.
We too just moved into a place that has gardenias, one bush is 8 feet & covered, next to that is a 15 ft grapefruit loaded & next to that a huge magnolia! & azaleas coming out of our ears lol
Sounds wonderful to me..having sweet scented flowers are a joy when walking around the garden.
I do love the scent of citrus fruit flowers. You magnolia tree sounds interesting..do you know what name it is..
We have lots, they grow wild here in Florida, get to 60ft easy, we do have some others at our old place, one is called little gem & is only 10ft, the other one is the best, it’s around 30 ft & the back of the leaves are a beautiful chocolate color & so when the wind is blowing it changes color.
Don’t know if you’ve ever grown butterfly ginger but I have loads & it smells just like gardenias, the insides of the seed pod is bright orange & the seed bright red, they also like full sun which is unusual for ginger.
I also love the smell of citrus & have a circle of five, tangerines, blood orange, minneola, orange.
We also have pears & persimons!
I have in the past grown butterfly ginger..can't remember why I still don't have it. Have to get some more next time I see it. I would, and am sure others would love to see some of your trees and plants that you have in your home and around you.
We only have a garden in the middle of a city..but we/my wife is starting a fruit tree fram, so the next few years will be interesting..
Going Out now but love to hear from you later.
