Sweet potato slices crusted in ginger with a stir fry. 🌞

Hi everyone,

As theres been talk o food cooked in ginger on here recently I coated some sliced sweet potato in ginger powder and cooked it in a little olive oil and it was smashing, the photo is a bit contrasty as the sunning is kissing it but I think that shows the sweet potatoes off better.

I hope you're all enjoying the weekend and this never ending sunshine...😊

Hi Hidden

I absolutely love 'ginger' - so this meal looks absolutely wonderful to me! :-) I also like the Arty shot - makes them look very appetising indeed, bathing in the sunshine.

Lovely!

Zest :-)

Thanks Zest, I know that you like ginger and it was after reading about how you buy ginger and use it that I thought I'd try this. 😊

That looks absolutely delicious, I love sweet potatoes. Unfortunately my husband hates them so I don’t have them very often. You always make such lovely meals! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I am going to try the sweet potatoes, do you boil them first or just cook them in the oil? Thanks, husband can have kippers! Xx

Hi Annmarie, I cook the sweet potatoes in the oil. and that sounds like a plan giving hubby the kippers...😊

That looks lovely Jerry, did u par boil the sweet potato first? I really want to try this, what a great idea

in reply to Kitten-whiskers

Thanks Debs, it was Zest talking about flavouring with ginger that made me think of this and I just slice and cook making sure that the oil is hot first.

I hope that you're getting some respite from your tooth...😊

That all looks and sounds lovely Jerry, I will defo have to try this.

No respite I am afraid, went to emergancy dental today as the pain is really getting unbareable and is actually worse since the filling, she said the nerve could be dying and in time the pain could go or she could half do a root canal, and then I would have to go back to my own dentist for the rest to be carried out - I do not understand, I am in agony and will not be able to get into my dentist for at least 13 more miserable days and thats if I complain πŸ˜ͺ This is all getting so costly as well

Hi Debs, I had very bad toothache earlier this year and the dentist removed the nerve and after about 24 hours it all settled down and no pain, then when we knew that was a success I had the tooth crowned.

When I first visited my dentist she looked at me and said this is going to be expensive...I also had an infection and had to take antibiotics so I can relate to everything you have going on as it was an ordeal...

But when the pain goes it is bliss...so good luck with this. 😊

Oh no, Poor u Jerry, sounds awful. This has been going on since mid June, I have no chance of getting an appointment for at least 13 days, I'm so hoping this calms down but no signs yet and it's been three days and us feeling worse than before, why did he not kill the nerve off, nothing they gave fine has made any sense, how I wish my dentist had not have left

I saw this before going to the grocery store. I love both sweet potatoes and ginger so I picked both of them up.

It turned out good. I like that it is easy to make. I sprinkled the ginger powder on it but re-read your post and noticed that you said you coated it in ginger. I'll do that next time to get more ginger into it.

Thank you Marshall64, I'm glad that you enjoyed it and this is what HE is all about inspiring and encouraging others. 😊
