Overnight detox pads for feet

Your thoughts on overnight detoxing foot pads. Also, the ratio for water and pure Epsom Salt while soaking feet and soaking whole body in the bath tub. Thanks so much. I'm new to this site so I've got lots of questions.

Hi Newlifer1 ,

Have you seen a doctor about your foot issues? Did they prescribe the Epsom Salt recently during an appointment? That is usually used because of an infected toe or in grown toenail issues. I have had this happen a few times, personally over the years.

No, not from a dr. I just read about it online.

Can you please let a doctor know that you want to get some information? Please let us know what you find out soon.

Hi there Newlifer1, magnesium flakes are even better for a bath or foot soak as some of the magnesium is absorbed through our skin. You use 1 cup for a foot bath and 2 cups for a full bath with either.

So I hope your feet enjoy a good soak...😊

Hi Newlifer1

I just wanted to say that I hope you thoroughly enjoy your soak in the bath. Should be really relaxing.

Good morning Newlifer1! Doctor's advice would be good if you are diabetic or have kidney problems. Otherwise I can't imagine there'd be a problem. I tend to put quite a lot in my bath - about a quarter to a third of a standard bag. Looking online - 2 cups per bath is recommended so I feel I'm about right. Enjoy your soak!

I would be very wary of detox food pads. For example see:

Epsom salt baths are good though. I just add a couple of cup worths of the salt to my bath.

I've not seen any evidence to suggest the detox foot pads work.

Epsom salts are great for so many things. The normal amount is 500gm in a bath. Magnesium is taken in transdermally - and that is one of the easiest ways to get magnesium into the body. If you take magnesium orally it should be magnesium chloride. You can use magnesium flakes (Magnesium chloride) in the bath but it is more expensive. Magnesium is necessary for so many body processes (300). If you do bathe, please drink a lot of water because the body starts to detox and you could end up with a headache. I have been taking Epsom salts baths for years .....amazing.
