There are multiple different ways to prepare overnight oats and you should get lots of suggestions.

My usual ones are:

If I want it cold - 150g full fat plain Greek yoghurt with 30g porridge oats with handful of fruit usually strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or pitted cherries, sometimes apple puree, peach pieces or pineapple. Leave in fridge overnight, stir and eat in the morning.

If I want hot I use 180ml whole milk with 30g oats and large teaspoon nut butter. Leave in fridge overnight. Stir and microwave for 2.5 mins in the morning and add the fruit after.

Best wishes 😀

Thank you so much for replying. I think the cold one is better I can grab and take to work. Not normally a breakfast person but need to start now so I’m not picking junk before lunch. Thank you xx

Overnight oats are pretty delicious and a good way to go when you don't have time in the mornings. I've only made them a handful of times but just used to add a portion of oats with chia seeds, sunflower seeds, honey, blueberries and covered with milk (all to taste). People put them in mason jars so they're ready to take out. Overnight oats can be quite versitile so it's your space to be creative with whatever your likes and preferences are and it might be a good idea to rotate lots of different recipes so you look forward to them. There's tonnes of recipe videos online youtu.be/08MTATIFaPg

This is the first one that that came up after searching "overnight oats" in YouTube.

Enjoy 😊

Best of luck to you! Suggestion: focus on healthy eating rather than weight loss - less discouragement!

Here's my go-to recipe (sorry not in metric):

OVERNIGHT OATS

(1 serving)

1/3 cup old-fashioned oats

1 tbls. chia seeds

1 tbls. ground flaxseed

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tbls. pure maple syrup (more or less to taste)

1/2 large apple, chopped (or ½ cup other fruit of your choice, such as blueberries)

1 tbls. chopped walnuts

Milk or almond milk (approximately 1/2 cup)

Combine oats, chia, flaxseed, and cinnamon in a 2-cup capacity bowl or container. Stir well. Add fruit, and stir gently. Drizzle with maple syrup, and stir again. Add enough milk to cover the oat mixture, and stir until mixed. Top with walnuts-no need to mix. Cover bowl/container, and refrigerate overnight.

When ready to serve, stir well. Add additional milk if desired.

Enjoy!

I don’t need to lose weight so can eat a balanced diet and I don’t eat oats because I’m a coeliac.🌈😊

Oh sorry you're coeliac and can't eat certain things, unfortunately I have a lot of weight to lose! :-) x

Hey I was born with it and my body doesn’t absorb fat well so I tend to be lean, I wish you well with weight loss, changing your relationship with food can help and this is where fasting can be very effective.

Just seen this item i have overnight oats nearly everyday i use 50G of oats tend to switch between jumbo and superfast dependant on what is at my store, i then soak them in either 150g of greek yoghurt or skyr and a teaspoon of oat bran and also same chia seed and then add mixed berries and half tea spoon of local honey just to take the edge of the berries. If needed in the morning i will add a drop of milk just to thin it a little but that's a personal choice. This week i have used frozen cherries and grated one square of dark chocolate into it this has to be the best flavour i have done yet and always full till lunch time.

You could try making oat banana muffins?

I’m just made it with banana for first time today - so 😋!

Add 1 small banana to a bowl

1 small egg

1 tsp of Vanilla (optional)

2 tablespoon of maple syrup (or 1/4 cup according to original recipe)

1/3 cup of vegan milk or diary milk?

Mix all wet ingredients

You could add yogurt but I don’t

Add 1/4 cup of yogurt (optional)

1/2 cup of rolled oats

1/3 cup of coconut flakes (optional)

1 TSP of flaxseed

1 tsp of baking powder

1 tsp of cinnamon

1/2 tsp of ground ginger powder (optional)

Mix!

Add ingredients to muffin tray.

Heat oven at 180 (electric) and bake for 20 mins.

Enjoy!
