Hi bump2007

Well done on starting your Healthy eating journey. I am wondering if you've used the NHS calculator to help with the calorie range to eat for your personal height, weight and activity levels? Eating sufficient calories can help, and many people find it helpful to work out the calories using that resource - worth a look to see how it compares with what you're currently doing:

Welcome to the Healthy eating forum. I would also recommend the NHS weight loss forum - also on Health Unlocked, as they have regular weigh-ins - so if that's something that appeals, you might want to join up there as well - it's free and great support.

I hope you'll look around our various Topics and Pinned posts too.

Wishing you a great week.

Zest :-)

Hi bump, well done on the initial weight loss. Zest has given some good advice. I wonder whether the lack of weight loss over the last 2 weeks is due to you not eating enough calories. It seems silly, but if we don't eat enough, our bodies think we are going facing a famine, and they hold on to as much fat as they can to make sure you can get through the upcoming famine.

Make sure you eat a good variety of vegetables too - that helps with weight loss. Pick oily fish where possible.

Your diet is mainly nonveg. So i guess it's high protein. The points to be considered are

1)ideal weight as per your age and gender etc

2) how do you count calories? Do you weigh whatever you eat and put the items in some application which then calculates f,c and p?

3) how much is your carbs intake? Which form?

Let's know and we might be able to help you. One has to weigh each food items and put the values in an appropriate application. Then only one can realize/ calculate exact calories taken and how much fats, proteins and carbs.Very important for weight loss.

Not what you're looking for?
