For my (healthy-ish) lunch I’m finishing the gorgeous galia melon, accompanied by some cherries, a couple of sweet clementines and a cheesy roll.

Oh, and a cheeky glass of prosecco!

Hi Rousler

Your lunch looks lovely - I like your cheeky glass of prosecco too, and that cheesy roll looks really tasty. Beautiful presentation of the fruits - I bet it was tasty.

Your recent Food Art post inspired me to use my melon to create an hommage to Matisse’s ‘The Snail’ 😉

Matisse would be impressed, and so am I. :-)

My approach was rather abstract but my palette was quite limited! 🤓

I think participating in ‘Healthy Eating’ is sharpening my appreciation of the visual pleasure of food.

That’s fantastic news! What is your favorite food and picture?

I am keen on fruit - it’s high in fibre, water and nutrients and is visually attractive.

I’m loving Zest’s pictures of her meals, especially her porridge with fruit, nuts & seeds.

What's your favorite fruit to eat and look at for pictures?

I do love the taste and lustre of cherries.

Cherries are good. I tend to eat apples and mandarin oranges the most of any fruit.

I sometimes feel that apples are the quintessential healthy food. Nothing added, nothing taken away. As Michael Pollan said:

“If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't.”

That's perfect and makes sense to me! :)
