They're rather like cream crackers, except with more chemicals and less actual nutrition. They taste bland and starchy. I would avoid them like the plague.
Many products sold in the Philippines contain so little real food that they would be illegal to sell anywhere else: the first three ingredients on most products are sugar, starch, oil, and/or water. Condensed Milk, for example, has 'powdered milk' around item 4 on the ingredients list; Tomato Ketchup has 'tomatoes' at number 3.
Oh really, but there’s like no ingredients in them I don’t think any of them are illegal here. and I heard they were given to people when they had stomach bugs or when they were hospital suffering from ulcers etc. Because they soaked up stomach acid and helped with nausea, is this not true? I’m looking for something that’s extremely bland for me to eat as I have emetophobia
I was just pointing out that the Philippines is a big market for junk food because there are few if any regulations about labelling, quality, or nutritional value. For example you can't sell something as 'tomato ketchup' in most of the world unless tomatoes are the main ingredient.
The country has one of the world's highest rates of diet-related illnesses. Basically, anything that's popular here should be treated with a bit of suspicion!
I agree with happycook: try to address the root cause of your problem - a clinical psychologist may be able to help. If you really think bland food is for you, go with andyswarbs plant-based diet.
