LCHF journey

Hi, I am just starting on my LCHF journey and here is what I ate for dinner last night - chicken and aubergine curry made with tomatoes and coconut milk and cauliflower rice. It was great. Not enough for hubby so he had a large nan with his. We both really enjoyed it. It's one for my LCHF recipe book.

I presume you mean how many carbs? Or do you also mean protein and fat? I don't know how many. Where can I find out?

be careful when buying food especially "low fat" as its highly processed and full of sugar also chemically treated. use full fat and eat less is the healthier way to go. good luck on your healthy eating.

Yes Grace, I have come off low fat stuff some time ago and don't feel so hungry as I used to. Now I just have to resist the bread which is my weakness!

yes i also have a problem with bread even although its brown bread its from the supermarket and probably not real good brown bread.Im not doing much cooking at all and eating mostly sandwiches. iv put on a stone in a month. im finding it so hard to not eat bread as im hungry a lot of the time.

Hi alfredsmith, this looks really good and by cauliflower rice is it grated cauli? because that sounds such a good idea for a low carb diet.

Grace111: There are some pretty good, very simple low carb bread recipes on the Internet. And it freezes well. So I make my own, keep it frozen, and when I feel the urge, pop a slice of THAT in the toaster. (Besides, on LCHF you can slather on boatloads of butter, or cheese, which makes it extra good!)

Example of easy recipe: Jar of almond butter + 6 eggs + tsp baking powder. See?

Sounds good. No almond or coconut flour?
