Such delicious food on here, thought I would post

Thought I would post for the first time as I’ve been following this forum along with the thyroid forum.

I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (thyroid related) so, although I eat healthy anyway, it’s important I focus even more on what I eat as I’m also gluten free.

Today I had Steamed cod stir fried vegetables and noodles

Steamed cod in a frying pan with water and popped a lid over the pan.

Stir fried vegetables and slimmers gluten free noodles with uncle bens sweet and sour sour (gluten free).

Portion size may look huge, but, as a previous member of well known slimming club , vegetables zero points, so just the cod to count as noodles.

Hi Jerry

Thank you for your warm welcome.

I’ve found this forum so inspirational for food ideas, that it’s encouraging me to try different food ideas especially Gluten free ones.

Best wishes

Welcome to the group, Peanut31 !

The noodles and cod look fantastic! I had gluten free noodles and salmon for dinner a few nights ago.

Don't want to **** on your chips, but try going gluten free for reducing your thyroid antibodies. There are several types of wheat free noodles available if that's something you eat often. Apologies if I'm preaching to the converted, but some Hashi folks find dairy free helps, too, though you've probably spotted that on TUK.

Good gut health can help with your thyroid hormone conversion. :)

Hi BadHare

Many thanks for your advice.

I’ve been gluten free since September 2017 as per advice on the thyroid forum with anyone with Hashimoto’s.

The noodles in my dish were rice noodles, I’ve also cut out anything that contains milk recently which is also helping.

Best wishes

Peanut31.

Great, I hope that's working for you & you're feeling better!

I don't have hashi's, but felt a big difference for cutting out unfermented soy, which seems to be the only thing to affect me. It's a nuisance ticking these things off the list, but worth it in the long run.
