Why do i need to eat frequently?

It seems like if i don't eat frequently my symptoms get worse. Like i need to eat like 5 or 6 meals a day. If i only eat like 2 big meals then i feel worse.

Hi healthiskey ,

Have you seen your doctor about needing to eat multiple times a day? Did they run any testing? Do you get headaches if you don’t eat right away?

I am a grazer, & usually eat only one meal a day, if at all. As I've mentioned before, I stick to restrictive eating times, so consider it ok for me to eat what I want during my eating window, providing it's healthy, & I've earmarked a few hours in the afternoon with only water & fruit so nothing reduces the absorption of my iron supplements.

Maybe try to improve your gut health & nurient absorption by cutting out all processed foods, especially fats & sweeteners, & adding a good probiotic to your diet.

You've said you feel bad when you drink beer, & you've mentioned one of your parents has coeliac disease. Perhaps it's time to address gluten as a potential cause of your ongoing health problems. It takes 3 months without gluten for the antibodies that cause numerous issues to leave our bodies. Hidden would be able to give you more information regarding this.

But get tested for coeliac before you try giving up gluten because that can make the coeliac test unreliable.

Even foods labelled gluten free can contain enough traces to trigger genuine coeliacs so you really want to know the results of that test before you start any sort of elimination diet.
