Hi Iv recently been doing smoothies, is it ok to put as many items in as you want. I put spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, beetroot, a bit of turmeric and spirilina, flax seeds, some raspberries, blueberries, half of advacado and a banana and give it a good blend. Am I overloading, or is it fine

I don't see a problem as long as you are happy with the resulting taste
If you use turmeric add a bit of pepper as well as it helps the body absorb the turmeric better (some fat helps too but you already have that in the flax seeds and avocado)
Hi Gary3212 ,
Personally, I don't have smoothies very often - maybe once in a year, and that's more because I prefer to eat the whole food - so I haven't really got any suggestions to you as to what to include in yours. The things you mentioned sound like delicious foods and flavours however!
I would say it all depends on what your aims are in doing your smoothie, as to how many ingredients you'd want to put in it. Every ingredient will contain calories, and so maybe think about what nutrients you're trying to incorporate, and what taste you wish to have at the end of it, and adapt your combinations accordingly.
Good luck with your endeavours.

Hello Gary3212 .
It certainly sounds very healthy. And if you're happy I would think it's fine. π
You can put in anything you like, & these are all healthy & full of micronutrients!
If you like them, chia seeds are good, too.
Sorry I should of explained more on my post. I have liver cirrhosis and Iβm a bit worried about whether it maybe to much for the liver to break down in one go
