Tips for eating healthy while living out of hotels?

I work in construction and I’ve been living out of hotels for a couple months now and I’m just needing some advice on how to eat healthier. As of right now, I eat fast food twice a day and I can tell I’m starting to gain some unwanted weight. What would you guys recommend I try to do given that I can’t cook any meals at the hotel and I only have $25 dollars a day to work with? Any help is appreciated!

Do some of the fast food places you go to have a salad as an option for carry-out/eat in? How far are the places you go to from your hotel?

Do you have access to a kettle where you're staying? If so, you could cook couscous with hot water, & add some fresh veg, olives, cooked beans etc, & have this with salad for a quick healthy meal. I use couscous when I'm camping. My son eats this at work for lunch & keeps a bag of couscous & a jar of miso paste in his desk, to add flavour (the miso, not the desk). It just needs a dish with a lid to keep the heat in whilst the couscous hydrates which takes about 5-7 minutes.

There's also quick porridge that just needs hot water adding for breakfast. You could add nuts & seeds for extra protein, & whichever fruit you like.

We can buy single & double hot plates for cooking that are quite light & portable, so one of those & a saucepan could be a good investment if you have access to a supermarket or shop where you can buy fresh food. A small electric cookpot/slow cooker could be another option. If you have a balcony & it's not too cold where you're staying, a small camping cooker is another option. There are lots of recipes online for healthy one pot meals.

This is what I would do

1. Breakfast: Fried Eggs, Bacon, Sausages and some green vegetables. Tea/Coffee.

No cereal and milk, No bread, No Fruit juice.

2. Lunch: Chicken Sandwich with wholemeal bread + 1 cup natural yoghurt( full fat)

3. Dinner: Go for meat of your choice e.g. Beef Steak with green veg. No bread and no rice please. A glass of Red/white wine. No beer please.

Drink enough water whole day to avoid dehydration.

You will not gain weight with the above SUPER HEALTHY DIET and feel satisfied and energetic. Assuming Breakfast is included in the room tariff at the hotel, $25 may be just enough to cover lunch and dinner.Though it depends which city you are staying in.

I lived in many hotel rooms for years and for about one year with my two small sons on our own.

I live in thailand where there is a 7/11 store on every street corner.

I would buy pot noodles and add finely cut fresh vegetables in with it and add hot water..lovely.

I would boil eggs in my kettle. I would also make cup soups and sandwhiches.

Get yourself a bag together with a plasic plate and bowl..salt pepper, little kettle, and look after yourself.

I loved my boiled eggs with bread😊

You can make a lot of meals with beans that’s are cheap and don’t need cooking, add some spices and you’re good to go

I use a George Foreman grill and can cook pretty much anything on it...fish, chicken, steaks etc, as well as asparagus or corn on the cob. So many things you can do and eat a real true meal.
