Hi I'm new got about 4 stone to loose, have been alternating between slimming world and weight watchers for the past 15 years loosing some and putting it on again with a few extra pounds each time. I'm looking for a new approach and a change of lifestyle although I am finding it difficult to get out of the whole diet for a few days and binge cycle.

Having the same problems, have also done weight watchers and slimming world have 3 stone to lose, starting to feel really down about it. New start today tomorrow will be better
Losing weight successfully should be a fairly long process. Some simple rules are as follows:
1. Reduce your plate size, when you sit down to a meal, take a smaller portion and no second helpings.
2. No snacking between meals.
3. Cut down on sugar with the intention of cutting it out altogether over a long period. We buy 1kg a year.
4. Illiminate white flour products from your diet; white bread, white cakes, white rice, white pasta and anything with white flour. Substitute wholemeal pasta, brown rice, wholemeal bread, etc.
5. Watch out for those breakfast cereals with hidden sugar or malt.
6. Avoid the margarines, spreads and seed oils (Sunflower oil for example) use saturated fats, butter etc.
7. Look out for products with sugar substitutes, Asparthame etc. Weight Watchers use this chemical sweetner.
If you adhere to these rules as a lifestyle you should very slowly lose weight and best of all it will stay off.
I hope I've helped.
