Slimming World I ❤️ You 😘😘😘

Well after 8 days following Slimming World (which in itself is a record I normally give up before the first week!) I've lost 8 pounds which is amazing because I think I've been eating more, never feeling hungry and I don't feel like I've really missed out on anything so hasn't felt like a diet at all. I have no idea how it's working but so glad it is! 

I know the first week you always lose more than usual so not expecting the same result next week but it's given me the motivation for there to be a next week! Just wish I had done this ages ago.

Excellent! Go girl! Why do you find it is working for you?I have been thinking about joining for some time but at the moment I'm doing intermittent fasting.Not sure if it has started working but living in hope!

thanks Diana. To be honest I usually would have about 3 take aways a week and drink Coke which I didn't do for the 8 days so maybe that helped but then if SW stops me doing that can't be a bad thing really. We'll have to wait how the next weigh in goes 😃 How long are you fasting for? Hope it's working for you.

Just from  8 pm to 1 pm following day.

I think it's good for me though.Strangely I don't feel hungry.When I eat breakfast I could chomp all day!

Sounds brilliant,  great that you have found something that works for you. That is the hardest part,  finding a healthy way of eating and getting results. Well done

I'm really pleased for you. :)  But surprised too, as they seem to advocate eating quite of a lot of carbs and low fat everything!!??

Yes, I'm sure that helped a lot!  Takeaways are usually full of 'bad' trans fats and sugar and Coke is definitely FULL of sugar....Really bad, but then so is Diet Coke with the artificial sweetener which causes cancers. Best not to touch soft drinks really.

Well done you for sticking to it.  Perhaps what you need to do, as you get bored with one diet is swap to another one.  Maybe that will help you stick to dieting until you reach your goal weight.

One way of reducing the amount you want to eat is to have plenty of soup.  Comparing a plate of meat and 3 veg against a bowl of soup with exactly the same ingredients in it, the soup will keep you feeling fuller for longer.  You absorb more nutrients from it and that helps stave off the next lot of hunger pangs.
