Hi, I am 52 and been overweight for approx 30yrs. I would love for both myself and hubby to lose some weight both for energy levels and health issues (need to keep up with the grandchildren now)
Starting this morning, so here's to the first day of a healthier, happier new 'us' x

Hi susun...
Just look at what your eating...and ofcouse how much of it your eating.
And see what you can cut back..You will lose Wight....if you are honest with with yourself.

Hi Susan wishing you well on your new healthy eating regime and good luck with the weight. Have you downloaded the 12 week nhs plan. I think it's really good and I count calories using the free app myfitnesspal. Lots of great guidance on the plan and a daily food diary/exercise tracker which I think really helps. Good luck to both of you and yes we need all the energy we have to rush around after grandchildren.
new research suggest that weight problems can not be solved only by the power of your WILL, so try not to do more damage. Fats wont make you fat, but more the lack of those, its good to follow an advice on reducing sugars though, and empty calories. Check your thyroid hormones lvls if TSH is above 2 you could get help of small dose of t4. TC
