Be careful switching to shakes and only 1 meal a day..... :-(

Make sure you are getting all the required nutrients to enable you to function correctly.x

Yeah,

Can't say I know too much about shakes.

What I have learnt is that you need a mixed variety of food types, carbs, protein, fruit, veg, salads, legumes, little fishy.

Unfortunately, all the bad calories that make us put on weight is in processed foods and sugar.

If shakes work for you great.

I personally stay away form shakes - first of all because they usually result in a fast weight loss, and fast weight loss equals fast putting the weight back on :(

Secondly I cook from scratch - and if I want something to replace a solid meal I put a handful of spinach, half cucumber, lettuce , a spoonful of hemp seeds, 1 tbs of almond butter (not always) or 1 small spoon of flax oil (or Udo's) , water and there you go... a nice filling and healthy shake. If you do dairy, you can add milk or yogurt. Mint is good in it too, and pineapple.... I actually end up drinking an amount of greens that I would find hard to chew on (imagine a large plate of salad) !
