Group chat for 16-25 year olds

hi everyone,

I suffered a brain injury when I was 18. This was 2 years ago, and since then my entire world has not been the same since.

I am putting myself out there to see if there are any people on here that are in my situation of being a young person who through whatever way have found themselves suffering a brain injury. I am enquiring to see if anyone here, who is in this situation would like there to be a group chat where those of us who are in this age group can be involved and share/get some advice or just simply rant about the crap stuff lol.

At the same time, I am aware that for some this is daunting and you feel like its no ones business or you don't to talk about it, but I myself have been in that position and its lonely and I'm hoping to create a space that doesn't allow that to happen :).

P.S. if there's already a group out there for this age group I'd appreciate an invite ;)

HeyCows4life, I’m not young anymore, but I had my injury at age 23, so I understand where you are coming from. I was a college grad and ready to start my life. Many of your future dreams seem to end up in smoke. Still honestly things are never easy. They may have seemed that way, but that is just an illusion. Everyone from a homeless person to the President of the United States have things they have to deal with, and no one gets a free ride.

Most individuals who have TBI’s are younger. I think it often happens because we are more likely to take chances, and think we can survive anything. I’m sorry I am not a younger person anymore you can chat with, but I’m quite sure that there are young people in this group, who can give you advice.

Hi

Cows4ife I’m now 28 so slightly above your age range but I had my brain injury when I was 13 and I think a group chat with other younger people who have suffered a brain injury would be a good idea
