Not quite sure what is going on,the staff at this new place must think they have the chuckle brothers there!Last week was a good one for sean, west ham result, getting his leather jacket, and the renewal of his driving licence(dont ask...)I had said would need a little,"quid pro quo"which he agreed to,namely removing the 5 footie shirts hanging off his curtain pole and the 3 deep high d.v.ds stacked up on window sill, cant see out of room window.his stuff is everywhere,no fresh air as he wont let them open window. He has renaged on all promises, its a tiny room,i literally cant bear being in there, especially as its so warm now.He refuses to leave room(says he wants peace and quiet)in fact wont get out of bed.help for hero nurse is planning a visit to a nearby vets day unit planned for tommorrow(good luck with that!)He is a nightmare, running circles round staff, but clever enough to only go so far and of course is very polite and thankfull. As he has capacity, they cant do anything, only make suggestions to which he just smiles and says no thanks. The last 2 days "requests" are for;1/converse trainers,2/pair of jeans,3/new seasons home and away shirts plus a extra champions league winners,4/a new lap top,5/my very old 12 stringed dallas guitar, which after 50 yrs only has 4 strings!

This is the old sean but "supercharged"...I think back just 2 and a half years ago when he was literally dead in the road and WOW!I am so happy to share this new life with him.that said he knows me well enough that i am always at least a step ahead. He was laughing head off last night during f/time chat when i said couldnt agree to his latest requests as i beleived he may be planning to do a runner and set himself up as a shaking stevens tribute act!!!The visit to day centre probably wont happen this week, but he is in for a shocker on friday..I have booked a table for 3 lunchtime as you can arrange to have meals with family there(who knew?)with me will be a former carer/freind.this person and myself have much to talk about regarding former unit(more on this later)so sean will need to be up,dressed and in attendence,i will be expecting this sean will know that i mean business.so until i can tell you more, keep the faith and keep fighting, love to you allxx

Hi D, he knows how to press your buttons lol, with his list of demands etc, it’s a good job your a strong woman or he would have you in bankruptcy court, as a former soldier he should be looking after you. I am intrigued to see what developed from your meeting, and await your next update on that horrible place, take care my friend, keep fighting xx

the New me can be challenging! Sounds very similar!! Things will improve, down side is it may take a few years. As have said, the hardest thing 4 family is they see the old loved one. Need time to accept the changes, hope u lucky, can accept the new version? Most of mine couldn’t. Good luck x

God D; I really hope Sean can be persuaded to visit the vet's unit, if only to get out of his room and for a change of scenery ! It might be good for him to meet up with like-minded folks and to have an extra set of memories in his head afterwards.

Hope all goes to plan on Friday too and you're rewarded with plenty of banter and laughs...... 😁 Love, E. Xx
