bingo,really..cost me £40 they give you a tablet with auto"dob" you just sit there looking at numbers you dont get, thank god im old,not my idea of any entertainment.my company?ok but if im honest it was forced, ive been alone for 20 yrs,i dont need it.anyway...after so long trying to track down s/worker,it would seem that sean has never had a dedicated worker despite he has d.o.l.s/section 48 mental health act as vunerable person?i am assured an urgent care meeting is in place.if you consider 4th may is a year since he was placed there(with no other option)i wont hold breath.however, the army have come through,be having meeting on 19th.the guy that phoned me from veterans had visited sean twice with nurse from help for heroes.he was gobsmacked to be told sean can have visits anytime from anyone, more shocked that i was never told about these visits.the nurse that was with him said his leg/arm splints had been incorrectly applied.he suspects, cant prove that some lads have tried to call in on their way and have been told sean not available.this has happened 3 times that he has been informed of,hence his contact with me.its clear its not good.im not sure how this place can justify the last year,no contact,no info on rehab,no improvement.thank god i kept an ace up sleeve.do we need to do this?cant wait for meeting, let them talk,i will give them an a bomb they wont survive, will make sure my son(no capacity)delivers it.can only from him without capacity of course...t.b.cxx.for all out there keep the faith

Oh good grief D... I was wondering how you got on last night so posted on your previous post asking how it went and hoping you had a good night 😵. I deleted it after finding this latest update ! Sorry to hear it wasn't up to much ; I know what you mean about not being easily impressed. And £40 to play Bingo ! ....WOTTT !!!

This nonsense with staff at the care home is beyond belief ; neither you nor Sean deserve all the bulls**t and I'm just so sorry everything has to be such a nightmare. Thank god for the army guy..

Hope you're hanging in there and not winding yourself up too much. Roll on the 19th.

Thinking of you m'love.. Xx

hey lovely, yep im ok lets just see what happens when these guys visit on wed.i will show them f/book posts and msgs, although they are pretty bad he names them and seem to be the same people all of the time with manager getting most.the s/services urgent care meeting i would imagine be not so urgent,i have to,and will do best for sean no matter what or who i have to take down, for gods sake he must have been sitting with splints on arms/legs incorrectly fitted for how long?its all ammunition eileen but i will keep the "A bomb"for meeting when it happens but will make sean is present this time and has his day.

Badly fitted splints ........unforgivable. Poor Sean.

Being a mum is mainly a blessing for most of us but when sons/daughters are ill or troubled it's hellish.

We all know how faithfully you care for Sean's welfare, but that damned 'care' home has shown its methods to be UNcaring ; an insult to residents and their loved ones.

I hope you can feel the love from here D ; just wish we could form a posse for back up ! Xx

Geez, sorry the evening didn't go better for you. And that's a bundle to play bingo.Good about the army guy.

Remember to breathe and keep calm and drop the ace up your sleeve, and do get help from your mp or whoever, even the papers. Shocking way to treat anyone, never mind a vet.

Any update on the job possibility?

Ha ha, that's the spirit, DBH!

(Reminds me of what a Finnish person said when Russia was going to try to invade years ago - we are a small country - where are we going to bury them all?)

Hi D, I was doubtful about the bingo, but thought you might enjoy the company, I worked in a bingo hall when my twins were babies, I was gobsmacked how much people spent, little old grannies on a pension too. Anyway back to the battle, wish I was a fly on the wall , the military and h4h won’t give up on Sean, just yet he’s one of them, are there no military homes in your area, I know we only have one in Manchester and it’s usually elderly veterans, so may not be suitable for Sean, the other alternative is to take him home, would that be a possibility, h4h would help with home improvements, and social services would have to provide carers to assist with dressing etc, it would be very hard work, and I’m sure you have probably considered before. It does sound like Sean is being picked out for some reason by staff, this place should be like his home and if his mates are calling in and getting turned away it’s not on, he will feel very isolated and be lashing out, no wonder he’s been behaving the way he has. Like you D, I have been on my own probably about twenty years, and think now I’d rather have a bar of chocolate, less trouble, I think you get too set in your ways, although would be nice to have someone to talk to at times, I do live with daughter and son, so I’m not on my own, and very close to my daughter, so I’m lucky, we will wait with bated breath for this meeting, take care my friend love Alice xx

hey alice how you doing?to be honest that bingo lark not for me.i was gobsmacked at the money people spend, they hard core, wonder how they survived the covid lockdowns?lordy...the taxi guy that took me is very nice but a really sad case.his wife died 3 yrs ago suddenly heart attack his youngest son same 8 months later.i mean, how do you deal?he knows he should get out and about i think hearing me talk about my situation on the drive to seans unit made him think i was a kindred sprit and gave him the push to ask if i would like to go with him to the bingo.i think, not being funny,us women have a greater ability to handle things,i like to think im tough dealing with all i have even before seans situation, different generations i guess?the army guy that phoned the other day mentioned a rehab unit in Ripon.its a way from me but i dont know why he would mention if it wasnt a possibility?if you were to ask sean where he would like to be he would say;1/middle of london town.2/all other residents would be west ham supporters(with a couple of millwall/chelsea lads thrown in just for a laugh3/decent food,no-what he wants when he wants4/wouldnt mind the odd pint..not too much to ask for?i can aim for number 3 and 4,will be doing my best.lets just see what they say when they visit on wed...had a msg last night about the little job.as the taxi company have contracts for these school runs a permit is needed from local council.the boss has applied for this and says i dont need to do anything.will need a d.r.b check, should be fine as i dont have a criminal record(not yet anyway!!!)take care hun, love lesleyxx

oh wow! I have no words for what you are going through with Sean. I hope things go well for you at that meeting. Best of luck! Let us know how it goes.

Also, that auto-dab bingo does sound boring!

For 40 quid (that’s what you call it over there eh?) that better be a good prize like a new car or something. 😜 For the equivalent $50 Canadian I can get a cheap nosebleed section ticket to a hockey game.
