Why did you have the second haemorrhage? Did they check for aneurysms?

The first one several years ago was coiled , no intervention this time!

I had the original haemorrhage then another on the operating table. 6 months later had a smaller one and nothing done.

Seems I’d had high blood pressure cos nearly 8 yrs ago an aneurysm formed on the cerebellum that was leaking so it was injected with glue to block it off.

I was given a stroke to save me life.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. We are generally a friendly bunch, with experience of brain injury, or as carers. Someone will always respond.

A good starting point is to contact Headway, details are pinned to this page. They have various resources from leaflets, to day service, and outreach. I would have a look for a service in your local area. 🍀

I agree with reaching out to Headway. I contacted my lical service and have been attending group meetings for a few months now. A great bunch of people with a variety of brain injuries.

Have you been told you can’t drive? Nothing was said to me. My partner sat with me to ensure my driving was ok. My licence has been with DVLA for over a year. I contacted them about driving and was told I’m legal to drive, as they’ve not told me not to. I heard from DVLA this week that my GP and neuro-surgeon have been contacted. No idea what either of them will be able to say about my driving. I also ride a motorbike and do have some issues with it but am about to ride from Ayrshire to Bishop Auckland this weekend. My partner will be my wingman.
