New here possible TBI?

Hello I came across the brain rehabilitation after watching a TEDX video last night where the US Dr scanned patients brains, and after watching it I'm beginning to think I maybe affected by some type of brain injury from boxing.

When my girlfriend was pregnant I took up boxing to get out of the house as we were staying a lot at her Mums and I remember one time after sparring had very very severe headaches so severe that I could not raise my head from the pillow, so I stayed in bed.

This frightened me so I stopped boxing, I seemed ok though, however I seemed to develop impulsive behaviours as in saying very inappropriate things which knock my confidence and causes social anxiety I no longer like socialising I also spend lots of time gambling.buy lots of things and don't use them

I spend all my days off stuck in the house and rarely venture out,

I never remember being like this previously,

Not sure what to do the DR's in the UK seem to fob people off I don't go the Dr's for anything would they take me seriously . What do I do

Not after anything other than being looked at maybe offered some help, acivities or brain training that could help, I fear being sacked at work due to some of the remarks I make

You may be correct. Make appt to see your doctor and explain to him what happened.

Don’t forget even some football players have experienced this. Have you seen the movie “ concussion” starring Will Smith, if I remember correctly this movie looked into this.

It might be on you tube. Good luck, Cindy

Bobby, ask your GP for a referral to a neurologist. It might be helpful to get some professional back-up from headway ; the helpline number is 0808 800 2244.
