wow,scorchio or what!ive been up since 5am.had dog out for walk,tidied up,made meals for today/tommorrow plus drinks,snacks in fridge.shut all blinds/curtains.now ive decamped to kitchen as the sun has now moved to front of house.im quite pleased that i have made socks a sort of cool blanket thingy its two towels which ive soaked in water.one for his bed,the other to put over him if he needs it.sooo pleased i got the garden finished...stay cool everyonexxx

Hi just about to set off hone. It's showing 36°c on car read out. Was thinking of a shower when I get home but to be honest I'm wet enough already.

Have left blinds closed at home so hoping it's cooling. Think it's fan on before fatigue St's it

Just found your post D. It's 11.30pm now and 30 degrees in my bedroom ! (sitting 6" from the fan but it's just circulating the hot air).

Like you, up at 5am this morning ; thankful I'd closed all blinds/curtains the night before and the whole house was cooler than expected.

But wow.. didn't it ramp up around 4pm 😵. Managed to water garden but sooooo hot & wiped out. Lord help us tomorrow with an extra 10 degrees forecast !!

Hi D, this heat doesn’t do my brain injury any good, takes twice as long to process things and head pain always worse. Wish I had some of your energy D, I get up with good intentions then find my get up and go has got up and gone and left this blob behind lots of love Alice xx

Sooo hot isn't it... More normal weather tomorrow apparently... I sat very still in the shade painting yesterday - nothing tricky, just exercises in a library book - more planned this afternoon!

My Mum rang and said she'd made herself gazpacho - and I thought, how sensible! - but haven't done the same yet .....
