Still in hospital

Well my release didn’t go as planned! They did a CT scan and found a pocket of air they were a little concerned about (by the looks where my scull was missing before) . I’ve been on Oxygen for the past day or so. Hopefully they will do another scan today. All of the staff at Kings have just been amazing, they have managed to calm what is a stressful time. Hopefully I can go home later fingers crossed. Thanks for everyone’s messages

Morning catperson18, sorry to hear you are still stuck in hospital, but if there is a problem it’s the best place to be, at least they can sort it before releasing you, and that can be reassuring take care, hope it’s sorted soon love Alice xx

Thank you. To be honest I trust my Surgeon implicitly so although it’s a bit of a pain I will stay if they need me to.

Oh no. You were looking so good last week......like you were ready for home! I hope it's a blip that can resolve itself, or can be remedied without too much ado. I know you have another big issue next week weighing on your mind.

Rooting for you Catperson.... 🤞🏻 Cat x

Thanks Cat, I am still here. Been a week now but they just want to be safe with the air pocket. I am booked in for another scan on Thursday. No adverse effects/headaches and I managed to walk 4 miles round the ward yesterday.

Wot !! ....4 miles 😲 (with your surgeon's approval I hope).

Things are looking really positive but please don't push too hard (maybe bit late for that) until your scan results come back. Fingers crossed for best possible results.

Dare I ask about your mum's funeral ? I'm thinking that if you've missed the actual day there are other, spiritual, ways of saying final goodbyes....

Thinking of you 😽person.. x

Thanks. They were happy to get me out and moving just so I am not stuck in bed all day. I think they are just playing it safe, rather have me stay in case there are any complications and then have to travel back up or go to my local a&e.

Mums funeral is on Monday. I will just have to keep fingers crossed, my auntie went round to my Dad’s last night and went through a load of pictures and picked out some nice ones for the wake. Just need to keep my fingers crossed now.

Thanks for the support

Looking good then ; give us an update when you're ready for discharge. It's so good to see how things are working out. Hopefully you'll be together with your family on Monday to say goodbye to your dear mum... Cat x
