Saw the surgeon today , hopefully surgery by the end of June at the latest. I’m allowed to go to the Stones concert if I behave myself and this gives him a window to get another surgeon as it’s a two man operation.
The Annie is now 22mm with a blood clot in the centre. Not good . Going through the groin and filling the Annie with coils and a stent in one of the arteries, the other artery will be clipped so it doesn’t feed the Annie. At least I’m in the loop now and know what’s going to be happen. Scary Stuff though. Still to have an MRI scan and lots of drugs . Joy of joy 🤗🏴

I can imagine it's scary Shona, but something you'll look back on with great relief. Easy for me to say as mine burst, so I passed out & knew nothing 'til the coiling was all done.........with no anticipation, or even awareness, for me (but a nightmare for my family).
It's good news that the problem can be fixed, but you won't appreciate it 'til it's in the past tense !
Thank you Cat . Thank goodness you survived it and thank goodness I’ll be out for the count while it’s being done. Can’t imagine having the procedure done with a local anaesthetic . I’ll certainly not be dancing about like a young thing at the Stones concert lol🤗🤗
Hi Shon48, I had a bleed but they found no aneurysm. I had 3 angiograms, 2 through the groin under local anaesthetic. It’s a little nerve wracking but you’ll be in very good hands and as Cat said, the relief everything is fixed and it’s all over will be great.
For now, enjoy the concert, just don’t go too crazy, haha 😂
Thanks Erin . Thank goodness I won’t know a thing . That was one of the things I asked them lol . I’m such a feartie . Still to have an MRI scan but being allowed to go to the concert has made me very happy despite them both laughing at me going to see the wrinklies. I’ll behave lol 🤗🏴
