Sorry for the long word but I have !

I went to a recently re-opened shop today. As I went in, I was told follow the dots and arrows on the floor.

Off I went, plod, plod following the dots, can't go down that way - taped off. Following the arrows, down the next aisle following the dots follow the arrow to the aisle I want, follow more dots before I get what I want.

Next item ! dot, dot , dot, ahead blocked arrows to the left and right now what ? take a chance and go left ! big mistake the entire section taped of and can't go back because I am being followed by a lady with a shopping trolley. Don't want to risk death by getting within 2m! off i go more dots, arrows.

Then it dawns on me I have turned in to a human Pacman running around a maze following dots on the floor, The only different is am not allowed to eat the other shoppers - not even in west Wales.

I did have to ask one till traffic controller to repeat what he said a few times "Far queue !" sounded like something else

In one of my local supermarkets, if I want to use the toilet before shopping, (which I often do,) I have to go through their one way system until I get to the tills, explain it to the cashier, go through, use the toilet, then go out of the exit and back round to the entrance to get a trolley! Needless to say, I usually go to the other supermarket in our town!

I like your Pacman comparison, but it disturbs me a little because whenever I played Pacman (back in the day,) I always genuinely felt quite scared of the 'ghosts' chasing me! I hope I don't dream about that tonight!

BTW, are you sure about not being allowed to eat other shoppers? Check your local council website.........LOL! 😊🌸

Lucky you were allowed to use the facilities - a lot of places are refusing to give customers access even with medical conditions

It has been a problem for a while parks and beaches open but public toilets closed so people have been going behind trees and in peoples gardens !

I worked it out weeks ago, it's a Capitalist plot to make us buy every item in the shop.

I did look up and around to see if there was someone assessing the shoppers like mice in a maze and whether we will get to the reward

Ha ha this is truly amazing and too real. I was reading about all the new rules and regulations the pubs will have. It sounds horrendous and for some reason reminded me of the kids tv programme Knightmare. Where you are controlled where and how you move by other players. I can't think of anything worse than going for a nice leisurely pint, which has now turned into part of 1984 where I'd be terrified the thought police will come and take me away.
