Hi folks,

Just finished this drawing that my friend wanted me to draw and I am going to print it onto a greetings card and give it to her for her birthday... which is the same day as mine, believe it or not :).

I drew this from a photo.

With most of my drawings, I draw them from photos :).

The depth you talk about would be the help that another artist gave me :).

To make a drawing look good it's all about getting the light and dark colours correct.

That's a really good drawing and I like using charcoal too because you can get different textures and show the fur. I think it's a great idea to use it on greetings cards and when is your birthday?

I actually drew this using graphite pencils but it does look similar to charcoal.

I do like using charcoal but they can be quite messy to use.

And the card is for my friend, it is her birthday on the same day as mine, May 2nd.

I am in awe of your talent Matt. you really are an inspiration to us all. My creative "skills" or lack of them are in dressmaking and when it is all going wrong for me I look back through your drawings to inspire me to try again xx

My drawings inspire you to do more dressmaking or they inspire you to do some drawing your own drawings?
